TIPS MEMILIH KOMPRESOR SWAN DENGAN TIPE SVP, SWU, HVU, SVU,SWP, HVP, HWU 

Seperti membeli barang kebutuhan lain, membeli kompresor juga harus teliti. Jangan sampai kompresor yang dibeli hanya sebagai pengisi gudang saja. Karena itu, sebelum membeli kompresor, baik itu kompresor biasa maupun kompresor portabel, kita harus jeli dalam memilihnya. Hal-hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam memilih kompresor diantaranya adalah:

1. Kapasitas

Pertimbangkan kapasitas mesin kompresor yang diperlukan. Kapasitas kompresor sangat bervariasi, tergantung pada fungsinya. Kompresor dengan kapasitas besar biasa digunakan pada industri. Sedangkan untuk penggunaan keseharian pada rumah tangga, kompresor dengan kapasitas yang kecil sudah mencukupi.

2. Volume tabung penyimpanan

Untuk tabung penyimpanan yang kecil, waktu pengisiannya relatif cepat. Sedangkan untuk tabung yang besar, waktu pengisian kompresor menjadi lebih lama. Hal ini tentu mengurangi efisiensi waktu dalam bekerja.

3. Sumber energi yang diperlukan

Sumber energi yang diperlukan oleh mesin kompresor sangat bervariasi. Pada umumnya sumber energi yang digunakan sekitar 110 volt. Namun ada juga yang menggunakan sumber energi sebesar 210 volt. Sesuaikan sumber energi kompresor dengan energi di rumah anda.

4. Anggaran belanja

Harga mesin kompresor sangat bervariasi. Karena itu sesuaikan dengan kondisi keuangan anda. Jangan sampai anda mengeluarkan dana yang berlebihan hanya untuk membeli mesin kompresor.

Setelah anda membeli mesin kompresor, anda juga perlu untuk merawatnya. Perawatan yang baik akan menghasilkan kinerja yang baik pula. Demikian juga jika kompresor tidak pernah dirawat, maka kinerjanya juga akan tidak maksimal. Dalam merawat kompresor, ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperhatikan, diantaranya adalah:

Kebersihan
Kompresor yang selalu dalam keadaan bersih akan membuat pemakainya merasa nyaman dalam menggunakannya. Sebaliknya kompresor yang kotor dan jorok akan membuat orang enggan untuk memakainya. Karena itu bersihkan selalu kompresor dengan menggunakan lap kain dan air bersih. Untuk kotoran yang menempel, seperti tumpahan oli, gunakan sedikit minyak tanah untuk membersihkanya.

Pelumasan 
Kompresor merupakan mesin yang terdiri dari beberapa bagian yang saling bertautan. Untuk menghindari terjadinya keausan akibat gesekan yang terjadi, maka diperlukan pelumasan yang baik. Pelumasan pada mesin kompresor dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan minyak pelumas atau oli yang disimpan dalam crankcase. Sebaiknya oli ini diperiksa kondisinya setiap saat. Oli ini juga harus diganti sekitar 1 - 2 bulan sekali, tergantung berapa sering anda menggunakan kompresor.

Filter 
Filter merupakan alat untuk menyaring kotoran supaya tidak masuk ke dalam kompresor. Filter yang terdapat pada kompresor ada dua macam, yaitu filter udara dan filter oli. Filter udara terdapat pada mulut intake pada kompresor. Filter udara ini bertugas mencegah masuknya kotoran ke dalam saluran udara kompresor, yang dapat menghambat aliran udara menuju ke tabung penyimpanan. Sebaiknya filter ini selalu dibersihkan, minimal 2 minggu sekali. Jika filter ini sudah rusak, segera ganti dengan yang baru.
Filter oli terdapat pada bagian dalam kompresor. Filter ini memisahkan oli yang dipakai untuk pelumasan dengan kotoran yang mungkin terbawa oleh oli tersebut. Untuk membersihkan, sebaiknya dilakukan oleh orang yang terlatih.

Saluran Udara 
Saluran udara pada kompresor mempunyai fungsi yang sangat penting. Saluran ini merupakan alat untuk menyalurkan udara yang sudah dikompresi untuk disimpan dalam tabung penyimpanan. Selain itu saluran ini juga menyalurkan udara dari tabung penyimpanan ke ball valve. Saluran udara ini harus selalu diperiksa supaya tidak ada kotoran yang terbawa menjadi penyumbat. Jika terjadi penyumbatan maupun kebocoran, maka kinerja dari mesin kompresor tidak akan maksimal. Mesin juga dapat dengan mudah mengalami kerusakan.

Selain hal-hal tersebut, periksa juga apakah ada kebocoran pada bagian-bagian kompresor. Bagian yang sering mengalami kebocoran diantaranya adalah ball valve, hose fitting, hose, dan alat yang digunakan, baik itu blow gun, sandblaster, maupun yang lain. Kebocoran ini dapak memperpendek umur pemakaian kompresor.
